The cost of Lipstick

You bought lipstick for only $4.99?

You saw such a variety of colors?

I have just recently been using lipstick because besides keeping my lips soft,  I love to add a little color…..but I dont want to spend a lot for lipstick because, face it, I like to change colors often.

So I put in a search on Google for lipstick just to get an idea on how much I would have to spend if I wanted at least 4 different colors….the cheapest was $24 and the most expensive I found was $90.  At those prices it would cost me $96 for 4 of the cheapest; and $360 for 4 of the most expensive.  I would not spend that much on lipstick so what to do?

So I went over to Avon and have found at $4.99 x 4 – my cost would be $19.96 – now doesnt that make more sense?  Also, if you are not completely satisfied, Avon will take it back and refund your money (within 90 days!)  Do those other companies do that? Even the local pharmacies charge more than Avon….So what is your excuse for not trying Avon?

This campaign there is a variety of colors and a great price….don’t let it slip by!

And today only, any purchase of $25 or more gets FREE SHIPPING! Use code MARCHSHIP

Large Women and Clothes

It has come to that time of year where I look to get spring clothes.  I have some from last year but always need more as I tend to clean out my closet and donate a lot of clothes.  The problem is – I hate shopping.  So that only leaves the internet.  I am also limited in sizes as I am a big woman who needs the larger sizes.  Therefore I have to shop in stores like The Avenue – sometimes J.C.Penney has good clothes for me….but I am truly hooked on an online store called Fullbeauty.com where their clothes fit me like a glove.

I also love the fashion that is now Avon.  But the sizes only went up to either a 16 or sometimes an 18…so I was never able to really enjoy their clothes.  Most people think of Avon as the makeup place to go to……but now they are into fashion (shoes and sandals included) and jewelry, skin care and health and wellness (have lost a few pounds with their Hunger Block).

So now I am sitting at the table trying to figure out what to buy as everything looks great…..what do you think?

A brush here and there

How many makeup brushes do you own?  I am always amazed at the amount of brushes we need just to do our makeup.

Eyeshadow, eyeliner, foundation, powder, concealer, blush, and brow to name a few.  It makes sense not to use the same one for everything, and if your brushes are of good quality then it is not something you will have to change often.  Plus if you maintain them they can last a long time.

I have found these brushes to be the very best and at a reasonable price so even if you have to change them, it won’t cost an arm and a leg…do you need a brush change?

Do you know your expiration date?

I recently went through all the makeup I have on hand to use and to sell.  I keep items like mascara and eyeliner on hand in case I get a frantic call from a customer who either lost theirs or ran out…When not selling them to customers I do put them out on the table for any vendor events I am involved in at the time.

Being worried about how long they are good for, I recently searched online for expiration dates for makeup and came upon an article written in Cosmopolitan in 2015 about expiration dates.  I am sure you dont realize that once you open a makeup product such as Mascara there is an expiration date of 4 to 6 months on it.  So it doesnt pay to try to get that last swipe of mascara out and run the risk of infection.  So now I will be tagging my mascara with expiration dates – although some of my makeup like moisturizers go faster than their expiration date of one year.

So next time you buy makeup make sure you know when they will expire because sometimes we will have several eyeliners of different colors, so it is not used on a daily basis…but six months later it might be part of that eye infection you just got!

Get Rich Quick

It’s all around us.  Plastered all over social media.  Those ads and postings that say you dont have to invest anything in order to make a lot of money.  Want more information?  Just drop an “info please” note in the comments.

And there you go, loads and loads of people dropping an – info me – because they all want the answer to getting money fast and easy.

So it is no wonder why when I post for team members – no one is interested.  They don’t want to put out the minimum of $25 to get a starter kit (worth $80) in order to start their business.  A business that has been around for 130 years, that I have done 11 years and love….the small investment was not a problem – in return you got a load of items to help you start your business including a free website.  The website is even being updated as I write this.  Avon will have their own Social Media area where you can make and share to your Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest accounts all your goods, sales and discounts.

Remember: there is no get rich quick…wish there was….but a little work and commitment will take you on to owning your own business to work at your own pace….Just this morning I was out delivering brochures to customers and potentially new customers…..and came home to two orders online already….how easy was that?  Ask me how you can join my team….info please!

Share a Quiet Moment

In this hectic world we live in, there are only a few moments we can call quiet.

Especially if you have children – demanding and always underfoot no matter what age – there is no time for quiet.  So how do you change it.  Put your mind to getting that special time where everything is about you.  Even if it is only for 15 minutes.  I find those times where I read, sip tea (or wine) and sit with my feet up are so relaxing.  I dont want it to end.  I often find myself (when the weather allows) sitting on the patio, with the flowers and trees surrounding me.  Reading, and relaxing.  Life is too hectic – make time to smell the roses.

Speaking of flowers…what better way to smell flowers than to wear them.  Haiku is a cologne that brings out flower scents like jasmine, lilies, peony, violets and more.  Take a chance and bathe yourself in the scents of relaxation – purchase online now at http://www.youravon.com/ashapiro
